“For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,

that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

Acts 13:47

The Missions Ministry of Ashburn Presbyterian Church is involved in community outreach as well as national and international missions. Members of APC have participated in domestic and overseas mission trips, we provide funding to various missions-related organizations, and encourage volunteer support. We educate by inviting speakers to share testimonials about how serving through missions has impacted their lives, as well as the lives of others.

Backpack Coalition

We currently provide weekend meals for food-insecure students at seven schools in Loudoun County through the Backpack Coalition program. This is one of our largest community outreach mission programs.

We are always accepting donations of food to help keep our pantry well stocked throughout the school year. Look for the bright green recycleable grocery bags near the Backpack Coalition pantry with a grocery list printed right on the bag. Simply fill it up and return it when you come on Sunday morning!

Community Outreach Opportunities

Additionally, APC supports several other local missions, including Loudoun Interfaith Relief, The Good Shepherd Alliance and Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. During Advent season we participate in Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree and also Operation Christmas Child’s shoebox collection.

Have an idea or a question? We are always looking suggestions for new mission opportunities.

Our congregation supports two missionary couples from Young Life and Cru.

APC provides monthly financial support to both couples, and we receive updates of their mission work.
